UNUSUAL MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS & SOUND SCULPTURE
Commissioned for the Brighton Festival, Lost and Found Orchestra takes STOMP into melody in the most unique way possible. “With the help of a crew made up of experienced STOMP personnel, expert instrument designer Paul Marshall, and with UK musicians who were prepared to abandon their instruments and learn how to play saws and hosepipes, LFO premiered in May 2006.
Since then LFO has broken box office records at Sydney Opera House and played extended runs at London’s Royal Festival Hall, Amsterdam’s Carre theatre and the Casino de Paris.”
The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra has performed its most unique recital to date which significantly marks the passing of analogue gas and electricity meters.
Composed by award winning British musician and independant fillmmaker Gary Tarn, and recorded at the iconic Abbey Road studios, the recital marks the demise of the analogue meter and the end of estimated energy bills.
