What about the weather, will the items rust?

No! Unless specified for indoors, my pieces are built using materials suitable for outdoor use. They will last for many years even when permanently sited outdoors. Outdoor optomisation

What are these ‘sound spaces’ used for?

The spaces can provide for general play, some for teaching & yet others for delivering specific sound & ambient experiences such as sensory stimulation or a palliative and relaxing space. The client's definition of their requirement is one of my first questions.

How are the sound artifacts used?

Some are used as tuned musical instruments for exploration or music activities (visit universal tuning ) Some provide sensory experience, vibrating items are very popular but we work with shape, texture, form, flow, some are noise makers others are ambient. Passive designs are used mostly.

What if I don’t play music?

The beauty of the pentatonic tuning generally used is that everyone will have a positive & fun musical experience. Chromatic or diatonic instruments are also available of course.

I make play equipment, will you work with my company?

Absolutely, I'll be delighted to work with anyone in this field to add musical, sound or sensory elements to their existing and future provision. The nature of the work can be as varied as the challenges that you may wish to throw at me. The use of any designs will be a matter of licensing and royalties based on a percentage of the retail value but I can equally supply manufactured units to fit in with your own designs. I can manufacture and supply or you can manufacture under license, whatever works best.
