EYFS in Daycare and childminding
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) brings together: Curriculum
Guidance for the Foundation Stage (2000), the Birth to Three Matters
(2002) framework and the National Standards for Under 8s Daycare and
Childminding (2003), building a coherent and flexible approach to care and
learning. All providers are required to use the EYFS to ensure that whatever
setting parents choose, they can be confident that their child will receive a
quality experience that supports their development and learning.
Paul Marshall from bingbangbong is a former Early Years Music Specialist. Paul uses this experience and the wide ranging EY delivery and design skills as a fundamental basis of the Early Years provision within bingbangbong.
EYFS outdoor musical instruments
Our EYFS outdoor musical instruments are based largely on the Dragon or Pentatonic scale as recommended by the DFeS. This is a 5-note scale and there are no wrong notes!. This scale is a universal standard in music teaching and in folk musics around the world. Our dragon instruments are ideal for musical exploration and delivering positive experiences of harmony
